# Farm Weights

### What are Farm weights?

Simply put, a Farm weight translates into how much of the PICKLE emissions a particular Farm receives. The below image illustrates an example distribution of weights.

### When do Farm weights change?

Farm weights are updated weekly on Thursdays at midnight UTC. Users' most recent weighting votes will take effect at that time.

### **Who can vote for gauge weights?**

Users who have locked their PICKLEs for DILL will be able to vote on how they would like their vote weight to be distributed across one or more Farms. The weights ultimately applied to the various Farms depend on the allocation and DILL balance of the users who vote.

Users can cast their votes here <https://app.pickle.finance/farms>. A guide on how to do so is [here](/appendix-c-previous-docs/old-docs/lock-pickles/farm-weight-voting.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pickle.finance/appendix-c-previous-docs/old-docs/farm-weights.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
